IMPORTANT:  Enrollments to attend any of the classes below must be pre-purchased online (please follow the links below to secure your spot). All class bookings for Term 2 will close Monday 1 April at 12.00pm. Students will not be able to enrol after this time or pay in cash at the studio. STRICTLY NO CASUAL DROP-INS.

Monday 1 April - Monday 13 May (6-weeks) * NO CLASS ON EASTER MONDAY (22 April)

6.30pm - 7.30pm

Suitable for absolute beginners and students with some experience in belly dance. This class will introduce students to the rich repertoire of moves that make belly dance a beautiful and expressive art form. Students will learn fundamental/basic technique and short combinations each week. Classes will also include drills to help build powerful muscle control and lots of stretching to add grace and fluidity to your movements.

7.30pm - 8.30pm

Learn a classic and elegant choreography to Zeina by Cairo Orchestra, starting slow and sultry and building up to a fun and energetic interlude. Classes will also include lots of stretching and challenging drills to add strength and fluidity to your belly dancing.

Trisnasari is a qualified dance teacher, who has danced all her life and in 2001 founded Melbourne’s Underbelly Dance Studio which was the city’s largest and most influential belly dance school and entertainment agency during it’s 10 years of operation. In 2008, Trisnasari was made a patron by OMEDA for her extensive contribution to Australia’s belly dance community. She has worked with Federation Square to offer free belly dance classes as part of their Health and Well Being program and has performed and delivered workshops throughout Australia and abroad. She has hosted several international artists and showcased the Melbourne belly dance community through her Assuit and Tie Bellydance Club.

Terms and Conditions

  • Class payments are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another term.

  • Students that have paid for the full term are able to make-up any missed classes within the same term in another class.

  • 3-class passes must be used within the same term as it has been purchased.
