Monday 1 February - Monday 15 March (6-weeks) *NO CLASS LABOUR DAY 8 MARCH

This class will introduce students to the rich repertoire of moves that make belly dance a beautiful and expressive art form. The classes will focus on the seven core families of movement that create belly dance, and students will learn fundamental technique and short combinations each week. Classes will also include drills to help build powerful muscle control and lots of stretching to add grace and fluidity to your movements. Suitable for absolute beginners and dancers wanting to refine the basics.

NOTE: Students are required to complete the beginners level at least twice before progressing to the intermediate level.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL

Students will continue to improve their technique with the introduction to more complex and layered movements. Classes will also include lots of stretching, more challenging drills and combinations to add strength and fluidity to your belly dancing.

TUESDAYS

ADVANCED LEVEL

7.10pm - 8.10pm

Tuesday 2 February - Tuesday 9 March (6-weeks)

Students will learn impressive and layered movements, as well as ways to polish and advance technique to a professional level. Drills and complex combinations are included each week. Improvisation will also be covered, giving students an opportunity to explore and express their own unique and creative style. Students are expected to practice at home between classes each week.

WEDNESDAYS

FIGURE 8 Belly Dance Fitness (ONLINE ONLY)

7.30pm - 8.15pm

Students must be signed in to Zoom by 7.20pm. Class starts 7.30pm sharp)

Open to all levels! Belly dancing is a low impact total body workout and beneficial for women of any fitness level. These classes include lots of drills, short combinations and HIIT style workouts using belly dance movements to strengthen your entire body, get your heart pumping and make you sweat! Suitable for beginners through to advanced level dancers wanting to add strength and power their technique. Some previous belly dance experience is recommended.

Fee: $12 per class

IMPORTANT: Online bookings close at 11am on the day of the class. All students will be emailed the Zoom link by Midday on the day of the class that you have booked to attend. Please contact Ekaterini if you do not receive the Zoom link.
